FELT BAG - In this class participants will learn the ancient craft of felt making using modern methods. This is a hands on class, and is an energetic process. Participants are provided with all materials and instruction to complete a felt bag. The approximate completed size of the bag is 22cm x 22cm (8 1/2 “ x 8 1/2”) .
Demonstrations and instruction is provided to enable the participant to complete their project.
Topics discussed and applied include: Wet felting technique, planning your design, what is a resist and its uses, how to prepare and use pre-felts, how to select and use natural fibres, non wool fibres and how embellishments can enhance a project.
This class is suitable for ages 15+

COOKIE CLASS - This is a fun relaxing class. In this class the participant will receive 9 different shaped ready baked cookies plus practice biscuits. Participants will observe demonstrations of piping techniques suitable for a variety of themed cookies. Topics covered in class include how to use a piping bag, how to make royal icing, its consistencies and suitability of consistency to the chosen design, floodwork, variety of colour mediums, edible petal dusts, cake pens, edible enhancements.
All ingredients and equipment is available to the participant while in the studio.
Tea, coffee, chilled water is available throughout the class. There is a break at approximately 12.30. It is suggested participants bring along snacks or a sandwich to eat during the break)

Position in class is guaranteed once payment for the class is received and cleared.
Participants will take home all of their masterpieces. Please bring a tray to layout your masterpieces ready for safe transport home.

CAKES, CAKE DECORATING, SUGAR FLOWERS AND BAKING
Choux Pastry - Profiteroles, Chocolate Eclairs, Swans, Mice & Croquembouche. In this class you will learn how to make Choux Pastry, a cream filling, glaze's and caramelised sugar dip. You will see demonstrations of each step to make these Choux products.
This is a hands on class. You will practice piping Choux paste and will assemble a variety of products using a cream filling, sugar dip.
There will be a team effort to assemble a small croquembouche complete with fine threads of toffee.
What you take home. A variety of choux pastry products, Choux paste recipe,, Cream Filling recipe, Sugar glaze recipe, Chocolate glaze recipe, Caramelised sugar dip recipe.
Morning, afternoon tea and light lunch will be provided. (40 minute lunch break)

Elegant cupcakes and biscuits with something special: This is a 4.5 hour hands on workshop. This is a great introduction to Cake Decorating. Participants will learn basic hygiene, how to make royal icing, how to prepare and use a piping bag, become familiar with different colouring methods, techniques and mediums. Demonstrations and instructions will be given for a variety of cake top patterns and finishes, small edible flowers and decorations.
All participants will take home a minimum of 6 decorated cupcakes and 6 decorated biscuits. A box will be provided for you to take your goodies home. Refreshments are included in the workshop. A special treat awaits - a freshly baked cupcake in a cup! This workshop is suitable for the beginner and experienced person. 10 years+. Ingredients and equipment is provided for use while in the Studio. Bring your pinny (pinafore) for this one. Great Grandma would be proud. $65.00 per person.

Cake Decorating Course: 3 sessions @ 4 hours 12.30 to 4.30 (12 hours tuition in total). This is a very hands on workshop. Experienced and inexperienced welcome. Participants choose their own theme e.g. Birthday, Christening, Engagement, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Graduation or a fun Lego cake, you are only limited by your imagination. Participants are provided with a cake recipe, participants will bake their cake at home (the cost of the cake pan and cake ingredients is the participants responsibility, these costs are not included in the workshop price). The recipe provided is for a cake with a firm foundation, and known for its keeping qualities. The cake maximum diameter is 23 cm. Cake board and cake covering (pettinice) is provided and is included in course fee. Students will have access to specialist equipment during workshop hours.
Ribbons or special adornments for the cake other than what is made in the studio is to be provided by the participant at their cost.

Sugar flowers: Duration 3 hours. This is a hands on workshop. In this workshop you will learn how to make a range of basic sugar flowers and leaves. You will identify how to improvise and use available items/utensils found in and around a kitchen as tools. You will learn how to select and use ingredients to make a sugar flower modelling paste and sugar glue. Step by step instruction is provided on how to shape, cut or form sugar flower paste to make flowers and leaves. Participants will see demonstrations on how to use appropriate tools and equipment effectively. Demonstrations will be provided on how to colour flowers and leaves effectively.
Participants will practice hand moulding petals and leaves as well as making a selection of flowers and leaves using cutters and finally applying colouring techniques to enhance those flowers and leaves. Participants flowers and leaves will be arranged on a presentation board ready to take home.
This workshop will provide instruction for a minimum of two flower species and leaves. Flower paste, colours, tools and equipment will be provided for use during the workshop. Each participant receives a pack of pre coloured blocks of sugar flower paste and a small presentation board.
What you take home: Sugar flower paste and sugar glue recipe, your left over flower paste and your arrangement of flowers and leaves arranged on your presentation board.
This workshop is suitable for ages 13+ Lets make beautiful flowers!

Macarons: Duration 4.5 hours. Join in on macaron madness! Learn the art of making delicious macarons. Workshop includes, preparation, baking and theory. This is a very hands on experience. Sample salted caramel macarons, pistaccio and banana split macarons. Learn how to pipe the perfect macaron shell. Make a filling and assemble your macarons. You get to take home a minimum of six completed macarons. There may be more to take home depending on how many you sample! All equipment and ingredients are provided plus you take home one piping tube and two disposable piping bags. Coffee/Tea & water is included. You are required to bring a pinny.

Crazy Cupcakes: Duration 4 hours. This is home of the fake burger cupcake! children and adults will love the fun and creativity decorating cupcakes. Participants will learn how to colour icing and make simple sugar decorations. Participants will learn simple piping techniques and will be assisted to plan and prepare their cakes for decorating. They will learn how to use and care for sugar moulds. Each participant will take home a minimum 6 completed cakes. A drink and crazy fake burger cake is provided for afternoon tea. Everything needed to complete the cupcakes is provided. Suitable for the kids, Mum and Dad, Aunties, Uncles, and fun loving friends. This would make a fabulous gift.
