FELTING
Felt is possibly the oldest fabric known. Felt is a versatile material that can be handmade for crafting purposes.
Felt is a material that is produced by natural fibre, heat, moisture and pressure.
Felt can be made of natural fibres such as wool and fur, synthetic fibres may also be used in the felting process. Synthetics cannot be turned into felt by themselves but can be felted if they are combined with wool. Several of the photos shown on this site are of felting projects that are from natural and or combined natural and synthetic fibres to achieve a desired effect.
Ideas for felt may include wearable art, cute things, bags, homemade gifts. You are only limited by your imagination!
